As the name suggests, a Cosmetic Surgical Makeover involves some of the most popular cosmetic surgical treatment options. These treatments are strategically combined in one package to deliver excellent anti-ageing results based upon patients' individual needs and budget.
Any of the following treatments can be selected:
This procedure is performed at our Medisculpt™ clinic in Subiaco. Thereon, treatments are carried out systematically one after the other. Patients can choose to have the makeover completed in one session or spread over 2 to 3 sessions based upon their budget and downtime concerns.
This depends upon the type of procedures involved. We do not encourage more than 2 or 3 treatments in one session. Ideally, any session should not last more than 3 hours.
We routinely perform this procedure under safe doses of local anaesthesia while the patient is conscious.
We also offer this procedure under Twilight Sedation at an accredited day hospital in Subiaco, in case the patient prefers to be asleep during the surgery. (Additional costs are associated with this option.)
Once the treatment area has been numbed, you will be unable to feel any pain. At Medisculpt™ we make every effort to ensure that every procedure we perform entails minimal pain or discomfort.
Most people tolerate this procedure exceptionally well. Patients are able to go home straight after the surgery and do not require prolonged post-surgical hospital admission or monitoring.
In the majority of cases, the incision scars are barely noticeable and begin to fade quickly within a few weeks.
At Medisculpt™, we have the most extensive range of Fractional CO2 Lasers to help reduce any scarring, whether related to a surgery or trauma.
Most patients can return to office-based work within 2 or 3 weeks. We recommend at least two weeks off work if your work involves heavy physical activity, travelling or dealing directly with the public. A Medical Certificate can be organised, which will not mention the name of your procedure.
Light activity is suitable after 72 hours, while light exercise is usually acceptable after two weeks.
Like any surgical procedure, the Mini Face Lift comes with possible risks and complications that include, but are not limited to:
These risks and complications may include:
In any case, all surgical procedures carried out under General Anaesthesia or Twilight Sedation should only be performed in an accredited hospital under the supervision of a qualified anaesthetist.
Very high quantities of local anesthesia are known to cause systemic toxicity which can result in cardiovascular compromise.
At Medisculpt, all procedures carried out under local anaesthesia are done using a minimal amount of local anaesthetic agent to ensure patient safety.
To be considered suitable for undergoing any elective cosmetic procedure, you have to:
People unfit to undergo this procedure are:
We recommend that you do all your grocery shopping before surgery and restock your fridge and pantry with healthy food. We also recommend that you organise for someone to give you a lift back home as driving is not recommended for the first few days after the surgery. You should also consider arranging for a family member or friend to stay with you for the first few days after your surgery.
Additionally, ensure that you avoid blood-thinning medication such as Nurofen, Aspirin, Heparin and Warfarin. Please discuss this with your General Practitioner in detail and make sure you are aware of any side effects of your current medication.
Herbal medication and nutritional supplements such as St John’s Wart, garlic, ginger, ginseng, fish oil, and homeopathic or herbal tonics should also be ceased for at least two weeks before your surgery. These substances are known for their potential to thin blood and as such, may cause excessive bleeding during and after the surgery.
It is imperative that you follow the pre-surgical instructions given to you by our staff. Alcohol consumption and cigarette smoking are two primary culprits when it comes to increasing potential risks associated with any surgery. Please avoid these harmful agents for at least two weeks (or more) before your surgery.
Consumption of alcohol and cigarettes:
In clinical practice, we have found that a herbal substance called Arnica is helpful in reducing bleeding during or after the surgery. It also aids healing and minimises bruising. This naturally occurring herb is available in the form of oral supplements and is found in most health food stores and pharmacies in Australia.
Above all, a healthy lifestyle, good sleep and a balanced nutritional diet after surgery are essential factors for optimum healing.
Any ablative or non-ablative laser skin rejuvenation requires the treatment area to be prepared. This involves avoiding or minimising direct sun exposure for at least 4 weeks before your procedure. The use of topical skin products containing medical strength AHAs and Vitamin A is recommended for at least 2-4 weeks before any laser skin treatment. This will help the skin to recover promptly with minimal side effects.
A cooling-off period of 2 weeks is required after your initial consultation to give you ample time to thoroughly evaluate the risks and benefits of your chosen elective cosmetic surgery.
At Medisculpt™ we want all our patients to feel completely confident in making their decision.
This depends upon the treatment options selected for the procedure. Please contact our clinic for more details.

"Art, indeed, consists in the conception of the result to be produced before its realisation in the material." - Aristotle
The practice of aesthetic medicine and surgery is as much an art as it is a science. The aesthetic sense of a clinician in evaluating a patient is as important as his or her clinical skills. At Medisculpt®, our philosophy is to artistically enhance your appearance in a way that stresses elegance over glamour.
