Mini Labiaplasty Surgery Perth

  • Minimally invasive, laser-assisted surgery
  • Natural-looking results
  • Day procedure (hospitalisation not required)

Mini Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure designed to reduce the size of large inner labia (labia minora). Women with this concern may complain of self-consciousness, local irritation and discomfort.

Unlike traditional labiaplasty, the Mini Labiaplasty technique involves the trimming of excess inner labia alone. As such, the clitoral hooding and outer labia (labia majora) are not surgically manipulated. The significantly less invasive nature of this technique using CO2 Laser or radio-wave surgery entails a quicker recovery and less risk of complications (as compared to the scalpel incision technique).

Dr Ehsan Jadoon has successfully performed countless Mini Labiaplasty surgeries and is renowned for achieving natural-looking results with high patient satisfaction.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Mini Labiaplasty is a relatively minor surgical procedure.

At Medisculpt, Mini Labiaplasty surgery is performed under local anaesthesia and carried out using radio-wave or Co2 laser devices. Following the procedure, there is minimal bleeding as well as relatively quick healing.

The Mini Labiaplasty procedure takes approximately 60 minutes.

We routinely perform this procedure under safe doses of local anaesthesia while the patient is conscious.

We also offer this procedure under twilight sedation at an accredited day hospital in Subiaco, in case the patient prefers to be asleep during the surgery. (Additional costs are associated with this option.)

Once the treatment area has been numbed, you will be unable to feel any pain. At Medisculpt we make every effort to ensure that every procedure we perform entails minimal pain or discomfort.

Following Mini Labiaplasty surgery, the female genital region will be tender and swollen. This will subside to a great extent after approximately one week. We suggest icing the area intermittently for the first 24 hours with a female pad worn for several days to keep the area dry. Full recovery can take up to six weeks. During the recovery period, patients should refrain from exercise and sexual intercourse for 4 to 6 weeks.

Most people tolerate this procedure exceptionally well. Patients can go home straight after the surgery and do not require prolonged post-surgical hospital admission or monitoring.

At Medisculpt, we have the most extensive range of Fractional CO2 lasers to help reduce any type of scarring, whether related to a surgery or trauma.

Most patients can return to office-based work within 5 to 10 days. We recommend at least two weeks off if your work involves prolonged physical activity, walking or travelling. A medical certificate can be organised, which will not mention the name of your procedure.

Light activity is permitted after 72 hours, while light exercise is usually acceptable after two weeks provided the wound has healed optimally.

Like any surgical procedure, this procedure comes with possible risks and complications that include, but are not limited to:

  • Infection
  • Over-correction
  • Inadequate correction
  • Swelling and discomfort
  • Delayed healing and unfavourable scarring
  • Nerve irritation and numbness
  • Temporary skin discolouration in the incision lines

These risks and complications may include:

  • Respiratory depression and compromise
  • Cardiovascular depression and compromise
  • Increased risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
  • Prolonged nausea and vomiting
  • Extended hangover
  • Short-term and long-term amnesia (memory loss) are some of the significant side effects.

In any case, all surgical procedures carried out under general anaesthesia or twilight sedation should only be performed in an accredited hospital under the supervision of a qualified anaesthetist.

Very high quantities of local anaesthesia are known to cause systemic toxicity which can result in cardiovascular compromise.

At Medisculpt, all procedures carried out under local anaesthesia are done using a minimal amount of local anaesthetic agent to ensure patient safety.

To be considered suitable for undergoing any elective cosmetic procedure, you have to:

  • Be physically fit and active
  • Have a balanced and healthy diet
  • Be of sound emotional/mental health
  • Have realistic expectations of the outcome

People unfit to undergo this procedure are:

  • Physically unwell with pre-existing medical conditions
  • Those with a history of keloid scarring
  • Those with unrealistic expectations
  • Those who are going through emotional stress and trauma
  • Those we are unable or unwilling to follow a healthy lifestyle (regarding their exercise and diet) after the surgery

We recommend that you do all your grocery shopping before surgery and restock your fridge and pantry with healthy food. We also recommend that you organise for someone to give you a lift back home as driving is not recommended for the first few days after the surgery. You should also consider arranging for a family member or friend to stay with you for the first few days after your surgery.

Additionally, ensure that you avoid blood-thinning medication such as Nurofen, aspirin, heparin and warfarin. Please discuss this with your general practitioner in detail and make sure you are aware of any side effects of your current medication.

Herbal medication and nutritional supplements such as St John’s Wart, garlic, ginger, ginseng, fish oil, and homeopathic or herbal tonics should also be ceased for at least two weeks before your surgery. These substances are known for their potential to thin blood and as such, may cause excessive bleeding during and after the surgery.

It is imperative that you follow the pre-surgical instructions given to you by our staff. Alcohol consumption and cigarette smoking are two primary culprits when it comes to increasing potential risks associated with any surgery. Please avoid these harmful agents for at least two weeks (or more) before your surgery.

Consumption of alcohol and cigarettes:

  • Interfere with the body's natural healing processes
  • Increase the pain and discomfort associated with any operation
  • Increase the risk of potential complications such as bleeding, wound infection and scarring
  • Prolong the recovery time.

In clinical practice, we have found that a herbal substance called Arnica is helpful in reducing bleeding during or after the surgery. It also aids healing and minimises bruising. This naturally occurring herb is available in the form of oral supplements and is found in most health food stores and pharmacies in Australia.

Above all, a healthy lifestyle, good sleep and a balanced nutritional diet after surgery are essential factors for optimum healing.

A cooling-off period of 2 weeks is required after your initial consultation to give you ample time to thoroughly evaluate the risks and benefits of your chosen elective cosmetic surgery.

At Medisculpt we want all our patients to feel completely confident in making their decision.

Procedure fees start from $4,000 (all inclusive).

Many Australians travel overseas for cosmetic surgery and dental work as the cost of having these procedures done in Australia are out of their budget.

At Medisculpt, we offer minimally invasive surgeries under local anaesthesia in safe doses. This means our patients don't have to pay high hospital and anaesthetist fees often associated with these surgeries. We also offer a free follow-up after each surgery which grants our patients with peace of mind.

Simply put, many Australians can now have the privilege of having these surgeries here at home, with very competitive pricing and lesser risk than travelling overseas.

The Medisculpt® Difference

"Art, indeed, consists in the conception of the result to be produced before its realisation in the material." - Aristotle

The practice of aesthetic medicine and surgery is as much an art as it is a science. The aesthetic sense of a clinician in evaluating a patient is as important as his or her clinical skills. At Medisculpt, our philosophy is to artistically enhance your appearance in a way that stresses elegance over glamour.
